چکیده

ABSTRACT We examined whether peripheral leukocytes of mice derived from in vitro αMEM-cultured embryos and exhibiting type 2 diabetes had higher expression inflammatory-related genes associated with the development atherosclerosis. Also, we impact a barley diet on inflammatory gene expression. Adult were produced by embryo transfer, after culturing two-cell for 48 h either α minimal essential media (α-MEM) or potassium simplex optimized medium control media. Mice fed rice 10 weeks. Postprandial blood glucose mRNA levels several genes, including Tnfa Nox2, significantly MEM compared mice. Barley intake reduced S100a8 Nox2. In summary, exhibited postprandial hyperglycemia related to atherosclerosis, some

P-118: Developmental Competence of Ovine Embryos Derived from Frozen Oocytes Co-Cultured with Embryos Derived from Fresh Oocytes

Background: Currently, a limited number of studies have been done on the vitrification of small ruminant oocytes, especially in sheep, where poor developmental rates are obtained following immature and mature oocyte vitrification. Poor ovine oocyte cryopreservation could attribute to the damage to enzymes which has role in metabolic pathways. Therefore, production of cytokines and growth factor...

Microglia derived from aging mice exhibit an altered inflammatory profile.

Microglia play a critical role in neurodegenerative diseases and in the brain aging process. Yet, little is known about the functional dynamics of microglia during aging. Thus, using young and aging transgenic mice expressing enhanced-green fluorescent protein (EGFP) under the promoter of the c-fms gene for macrophage-colony stimulating factor receptor, we evaluated in vivo-induced inflammatory...

Gene Expression Profile of Adherent Cells Derived From Human Peripheral Blood: Evidence of Mesenchymal Stem Cells

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) provide a novel option in cellular therapy and tissue engineering. Recent studies indicated that it is possible to obtain MSCs from peripheral blood by attachment ability to plastic surface. To evaluate adherent cells derived from peripheral blood, their expression profile and surface markers were investigated. The results of RT-PCR indicated that these cells expre...

Conditioned Medium from Cultured Colorectal Cancer Cells Affects Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells Inflammatory Phenotype in Vitro

Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common cancer worldwide. Studies have indicated that immune cells and soluble factors play a key role in maintaining the balance between tumor-promoting inflammation and anti-tumor immunity. It has been shown that secreted cytokines from CRC cell lines could affect peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), monocytes, and macrophages phenot...

Progesterone receptor gene expression in preimplantation pig embryos.

OBJECTIVE It is not known whether progesterone, which plays a key role in establishing and maintaining pregnancy, acts directly on embryos or indirectly through the mother's reproductive tract. Since the physiological effects of progesterone are mediated by progesterone receptors (PR), the expression of PR during the preimplantation stages of pig embryos was determined. DESIGN AND METHODS Pre...
